The duo of Van Robichaux and Evan Susser has been hired by Warner Bros. to rewrite its live-action movie version of Hanna-Barbera Studios series The Jetsons.
In 1990, Universal released a big-screen cartoon feature film, Jetsons: The Movie. It was directed by Hanna-Barbera co-founder Joseph Barbera, one of the creators of the original 1962 TV show.
Donald De Line and Denise Di Novi are producing the live-action version, which Di Novi has been working on for over than a decade with a number of different writers. Adam F. Goldberg has been the most recent screenwriter.
Robichaux and Susser co-created the TV series What’s Going On? with Mike Mitchell. Recently, the two received considerable attention for their script Chewie, a humorous look at the making of Star Wars from the point of view of Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew.
