Comedian Howie Mandel let slip the resurrection of his 90’s animated series Bobby’s World at Comikaze in Los Angeles this weekend. He provided no additional information, such as when and where it will air, who is producing, or even when to expect the new show. Additional queries to Mandel’s reps have also not returned any additional information.
The original show was Fox’s first Saturday morning cartoon, and was the brainchild of Howie Mandel. Spiky-haired Bobby Generic (accent on the first syllable) was a four-year-old with a vivid imagination, escaping into his own “Bobby’s World” when the real world was too weird to understand. Helping make it weirder were Bobby’s eccentric family-big-haired dad Howie, calm mother Martha, obnoxious older brother Derek, and whiny sister Kelly. The only human in the family who seemed to understand Bobby was loudmouthed traveling salesman Uncle Ted. Bobby found more sympathy in the animal world, with his sheepdog Roger and stuffed spider Webbly joining Bobby’s imaginative adventures.

The original run of the series was from 1990 to 1995 on Fox. The show was produced by Film Roman Productions and ran 81 half-hour episodes.
