The Adventures of Tintin

Steven Spielberg’s “The Adventures of Tintin” was named Best Animated Film on Sunday by the New York Film Critics Online, an organization composed of New York City-based Internet reviewers.

The 11th New York Film Critics Online Awards named The Artist as Best Film. The Artist also won for Best Director (Michel Hazanavicius) and Best Film Music or Score (Ludovic Bource).

Michael Shannon was declared Best Actor for his role in Take Shelter, while Meryl Streep was named Best Actress for her role in The Iron Lady.

For Best Supporting Actor, Albert Brooks won for Drive. Best Supporting Actress went to Melissa McCarthy for Bridesmaids — a film that was also honored for Best Cast.

Nat Faxon, Jim Rash and Alexander Payne won Best Screenplay for The Descendants. Iran’s A Separation won the NYFCO Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
