Nickelodeon has released the the first episode of it’s new, web-only series Welcome to the Wayne on Nick.Com today. This weekly online series that follows the adventures of Olly Timbers and Ansi Molina, two ten-year-old boys exploring the crazy, unpredictable world of their New York City apartment building, The Wayne. Welcome to the Wayne is the first of four original, short-form digital-only series rolling out on the newly redesigned Nick.com website and the Nick App this year, with more in development.
Nick.com’s new look takes its creative inspiration from the Nick App, leaving behind conventional long pages and vertical scroll in favor of a unique interface: an edge-to-edge landscape design that fills the screen as kids navigate the site horizontally.
The series is spec’ed at six episodes, each 4 to 5 minutes in length. It was produced by Nickelodeon expressly for its digital platforms. The series was created by Emmy Award-winning writer and composer Billy Lopez (Wonder Pets!, Phineas and Ferb), Welcome to the Wayne is also currently being developed for a TV series for Nickelodeon.
