Disney’s Frozen was the big pick for the Best Animated Feature at the 71st Annual Golden Globe awards last night, sponsored by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Other top winners were “12 Years a Slave” and “American Hustle” for best motion picture drama and best comedy or musical motion picture, respectively. The wins thrust the two films into the top positions for the Academy Awards’ best picture Oscar.

With the Globes being such a hot predictor of Oscar success, one has to wonder if this fast-tracks the Disney feature for the Best Animated Film Academy Award.
