The former president of now-defunct animation company Cinar gave himself up to police late Thursday night at Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau airport, one week after the Quebec provincial police issued a warrant for his arrest.

Ronald Weinberg is scheduled to appear in court today (Friday).

Weinberg, 59, was taken into custody by provincial police officers after arriving on a flight from the Dominican Republic. He is one of four company executives facing a total of 36 charges, including fraud, forgery, using fake documents and publishing a false prospectus.
