Clements and Musker have a tries history at the studio, including The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and 2009’s The Princess And The Frog. The to be animated in the 2D/3D hybrid style similar to Disney’s Paperman. However, Director John Musker adds that “it’s far too early to apply the Paperman hybrid technique to a feature.”
The story, which is set about 2000 years ago, is not very elaborate yet. It is the story of Moana Waialiki, a sea voyaging enthusiast, and the only daughter of a chief in a long line of navigators.
