D. Duck stops here: Disney groping suit settled

Walt Dis­ney World has set­tled a fed­eral law­suit filed by a Penn­syl­va­nia woman who claimed that Don­ald Duck groped her dur­ing a visit to the Epcot theme park.

Court doc­u­ments indi­cate that April Magolon reached a set­tle­ment last week in her case against the enter­tain­ment giant.

Last year, the Upper Darby woman sued Walt Dis­ney Parks and Resorts, alleg­ing that a cos­tumed park employee grabbed her breast dur­ing a May 2008 visit to the Florida tourist attraction.

Magodon, 28, sought over $50,000 in com­pen­sa­tion plus another $150,000 in puni­tive dam­ages, alleg­ing that the inci­dent has caused her “anx­i­ety, headaches, nau­sea, cold sweats, insom­nia, night­mares, flash­backs, and diges­tive problems.”

Terms of the the set­tle­ment have not been dis­closed, accord­ing to The Smok­ing Gun. As well, a Dis­ney spokes­woman declined to dis­cuss details of the settlement.

Magolon’s attor­ney did not return a phone mes­sage left Tues­day by the Asso­ci­ated Press.
