Oscar-nominated British actress Helena Bonham Carter, the voice of Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, was named a Commanders of the Order of the British Empire on Saturday for services to drama.
She received the distinction as part of the New Year Honours List 2012.
Bonham Carter, 45, voiced Lady Campanula Tottington in 2005’s Wallace & Gromit: The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit. In the Oscar-nominated Christmas special The Gruffalo (2009), she was Mother Squirrel.
Burton’s motion-capture Alice In Wonderland cast her as The Red Queen.
In Carnivale, a 2000 animated feature film, she had the lead role as Milly.
