peabodyDreamWorks Mr. Peabody & Sherman has a new clip for you to judge it by. The film, which is due out in theaters on March seventh, is a film based on Jay Wards’ Peabody’s Improbable History, a segment on the long-running Saturday morning series Rocky and His Friends. Long fodder for theatrical films, the show has spawned at least two theatrical films– three if you count the related George of the Jungle.

Directed by Rob Minkoff (The Lion King), the film follows up on the beloved, bespectacled dog and his pet boy, updated for the 21st century. Mr. Peabody is the world’s smartest person, who happens to be a dog. He and his “pet” boy Sherman discover that someone has stolen their time-traveling WABAC machine and is changing moments in history to disastrous and comical results. It’s up to this most unexpected of father-son teams to somehow put a stop to this villain before his actions destroy the space-time continuum.

The 120 minute feature stars Ty Burrell as Mr. Peabody and Max Charles as his boy Sherman. Take a listen to the scene and see how well you think they have the voices down.

The theatrical release will be accompanied by a new Rocky and Bullwinkle Short. Other production stills are available on the BCDB Mr. Peabody & Sherman page.
