Cartoon Network To Cross Canadian Bounds

If you thought it was about time Car­toon Net­work and [Adult Swim] should hit the air­waves north of the bor­der, your wait is over. Tele­toon and Turner have announced that they would be bring­ing the Car­toon Net­work to Cana­di­ans begin­ning July 4th.

To whet the appetites of view­ers, Tele­toon will begin broad­cast­ing a weekly Car­toon Net­work pro­gram­ming block, start­ing this Sat­ur­day. The web­site CartoonNetwork.ca has already launched.

Before the final launch, Tele­toon will air a two-hour pre­view block every Sat­ur­day in May and June fea­tur­ing four Car­toon Net­work series. Adven­ture Time has already been air­ing on Tele­toon will will kick of the new CN block on Saturday’s at 11:00 am. The Amaz­ing World of Gum­ball will fol­low at 11:30am. At noon Cana­di­ans will see Reg­u­lar Show fol­lowed by the Car­toon Car­toon clas­sic, Dexter’s Lab­o­ra­tory at 12:30pm. The two hour pre­miere block will begin this weekend.

Car­toon Net­work Canada will also be fea­tur­ing the [adult swim] pro­gram­ming block.

Mean­while, Car­toon Net­work char­ac­ters will come to life this sum­mer at the Atlantis on the Par­adise Island resort in The Bahamas. Infused with family-fun, the sum­mer fes­tiv­i­ties will run May 25 – Sept. 3, 2012 promis­ing even more Car­toon Net­work enter­tain­ment than last year. Guests can antic­i­pate branded ele­ments from the network’s top-rated and award-winning ani­mated series Adven­ture Time includ­ing an Adven­ture Time themed pool­side dive-in the­ater and a Car­toon Net­work, multi-brand char­ac­ter takeover of one of Atlantis’ most pop­u­lar din­ing des­ti­na­tions, Sea­grapes restaurant.
